Nine days from Gudauri and Kazbegi over the Abano Pass into Tusheti and back through Kakheti, the Udabno savannah, the Tsalka canyon, Lake Tabatskuri and Bakuriani.
Seven driving days, 890–990 km, up to 3200 m above sea level.
Arrival at Tbilisi airport. A company employee will pick you up and take you to the Kazbegi region in Gudauri, to the starting location at Hotel Marco Polo.
Upon arrival of the whole group, a briefing will be organized where the tour participants will get to know each other. You will receive the necessary documents, information, instructions and route maps from us. After the briefing, the whole group is asked to go and see our buggies and try on the rental equipment.
Trip starts from Gudauri, Hotel Marco Polo — 10:00. Departure at 11:00.
Kudebi view, 3000 m above sea level, then the Truso Valley. Lunch in Truso at 15:00.
Stepantsminda, and the full Kazbegi view from the Elia monastery. Arrival at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi at 18:00. Evening dinner and a pleasant atmosphere.
Breakfast at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi at 09:00. Departure to Dariali and the Gveleti waterfalls, and the Dariali monastery complex near the border with Russia.
Next location: Gergeti Trinity Church, then Juta village or the Nadarbazevi (Wild Akhiala) valley, depending on the season and the condition of the road. Lunch in Juta village or Arsha village.
Arrival at Hotel Marco Polo 18:00 – 19:00. Evening dinner and a pleasant atmosphere.
The hardest day starts from Hotel Marco Polo. Breakfast at 09:00, departure at 10:00.
We cross the Jinvali water reservoir, Tianeti and Akhmeta. Lunch in Akhmeta at 15:00 – 16:00.
From Akhmeta we drive deeper into the mountains, heading towards Tusheti along breathtaking panoramic roads, surrounded by untouched nature and dramatic landscapes, with a short break on the Abano Pass.
Arrival at the 4 star Samzeo Hotel in Tusheti at 21:00 – 22:00. Dinner with local cuisine and traditional folklore.
Start from Samzeo Hotel at 09:00, breakfast and departure at 10:00 to explore valleys filled with ancient towers.
Lunch in Dartlo at 15:00. On this day we see both valleys of Tusheti — the Dartlo (Chaghma) valley and the Tsovati valley.
Arrival at the hotel at 18:00 – 20:00. Dinner with local cuisine and traditional folklore.
Start from Samzeo Hotel, breakfast at 09:00, then horseback riding on the side of Shenako village. Guests who prefer not to ride can continue by buggy.
We see a beautiful village along an interesting road and return to the hotel. Lunch at 14:00 – 15:00.
From Omalo over the Abano Pass to Lopota Lake Resort & Spa. In the evening there will be a tour-ending event, spa treatments and relaxation after overcoming the most difficult route possible.
Start from Lopota Lake Resort & Spa at 09:00, breakfast and departure at 10:00.
On this day we cross the Tsiv-Gombori Pass. Lunch at midday. Then the savannah (Udabno safari), and on to the Tsalka canyon.
Arrival at Hotel Cass Land Diamond at 20:00 – 21:00. Evening dinner and a pleasant atmosphere.
Start from Hotel Cass Land Diamond, breakfast at 09:00, then two hours of free time around the canyon.
We see Lake Tabatskuri and stop for a break on top of the Bakuriani pass.
Arrival at the Crystal Hotel in Bakuriani at 18:00 – 19:00.
Breakfast at the Crystal Hotel between 09:00 and 10:00.
This is the conclusion of our nine-day expedition program, unless participants choose to extend their journey upon request. Transportation to Tbilisi and the flight home, or stay in Georgia and continue the trip as desired.
If the number of travellers is smaller, the person occupying the single room also pays the single room supplement. Depending on the occupancy of the hotels and the weather conditions, the tour route may change.
The price is for 3 people + driver and guide, and this offer is for those who do not have high-level off-road experience. However, if the applicant is experienced and has good skills in driving a buggy off-road, the price is still calculated per buggy.
The price is given taking into account all services, and may change based on changes in hotels and services along the way — for example, if the client does not want to sleep in a 5-star hotel and a family hotel is enough.
